Welcome to the St Joseph’s school website. I am very proud to be the acting Headteacher of such a wonderful school and dedicated team of staff. St Joseph’s is a Roman Catholic School situated in the heart of Bermondsey. We are very blessed to have such an expansive, well cared for and modern school site which provides a wonderful environment in which our children learn and grow.
At St Joseph’s we pride ourselves on enabling all of our children to achieve their full potential in all aspects of their education: spiritual, academic, personal, cultural, social, emotional and moral. In our school, we aim to inspire a love of learning within all of our pupils. We strive to equip all of our pupils, with the knowledge, skills and character to effectively prepare them for the next phase of their education, for employment, to be active citizens and for wherever their lives may lead. All of our governors and staff share the same drive to achieve the very best for all our pupils. We pride ourselves on teaching a broad curriculum, achieving high standards of teaching and learning and exemplary standards of behaviour.
Our school is distinctly Catholic in its character, we aim to create a loving and caring environment which reflects the Gospel values within which all pupils can grow and learn together. The children’s spiritual education and development play a fundamental role in the life of the school and the school’s Catholic identity permeates all areas of school life. We strive to promote values of tolerance, respect and the celebration of diversity amongst all in our community.
For further information, please explore our school’s website or contact the school office by phone. We look forward to welcoming you to St Joseph’s.
