Visit to the Fire Station

Today, Reception visited the Fire Station, as part of their topic on Superheroes. They learnt about real life superheroes and how Fire Fighters help us. They were given the opportunity to try on parts of the uniform, sit in a fire engine, look around the station, understand the parts of the fire engine and spray out a fake fire using the hose! It was a fantastic afternoon and the children were able to see it first hand. Thank you to the Fire Fighters at Dockhead Fire Station who were extremely accommodating and allowed the children to be experience elements of being a Fire Fighter.
