Our Year Five children have arrived safe and sound and had a jam packed day so far: they have experienced life in the trenches at Passchendaele and had the opportunity to visit the largest Commonwealth War Graves Commission cemetery in the world – Tyne Cot Cemetery. Both staff and children were overwhelmed by the scale of loss and sacrifice; here the children are pictured at the ‘Memorial of the Missing’. Now it is back to the hotel for a short break before they attend the Menin Gate Last Post Ceremony this evening. Staff have reported that the children have conducted themselves impeccably making everyone back at school extremely proud!
