McAuley Class
Teacher: Miss Elston
Teaching Assistant/s: Miss Dixon, Mrs Dixon & Mrs O’Mahony
Welcome
Welcome to McAuley Class page!
In our class, we ‘do lots of good learning and we are respectful to all. We like to see our friends, play together and are very good at sharing and caring for each other.’
Our teacher is Miss Elston and we have Mrs Dixon, Miss Dixon and Miss Figueroa to help us in class.
Our McAuley Class promises are to come into school every morning with smiles on our faces and be ready to give 100% to meet all challenges. We are always patient when waiting for a turn, and ensure we are behaving appropriately. Lastly, we promise to be proud of everyone’s achievements.
Here are three top tips for being in Year 3:
- We should practise times tables on a regular basis.
- We should read our books every day.
- We should always get a good sleep as we are so busy learning in class, our brains need time to recharge.
McAuley Class is named after Catherine McAuley. She was the founder of the Sisters of Mercy community who, in 1912, opened our school. Catherine McAuley believed all children should have an education. This quote comes from her:
“A good beginning is of great importance.”
In McAuley Class, we enjoy ‘challenging ourselves, feeling more grown-up, playing football and swimming!’
In our class we enjoy learning and know that it is very important so that it helps us when we are older.
