This week, St Joseph’s has taken part in Children’s Mental Health Awareness week. The children have spent the week learning about the importance of looking after their mental health, like the health of their bodies. We had activities out in the playground which allowed them to focus on their mental health and being there for others. The children learnt about worry, anxiety and self-esteem. They gained an understanding of these concepts and thought about how they could support their friends who may be experiencing them. The children in News Club reflected on what it means to be connected with each other. Today, the children came into school wearing an item of green and the school raised money for the charity ‘Young Minds’, which supports young people’s mental health. Thank you for your support this week.
We want to take this opportunity to wish you a happy and healthy half term break.
