Learning Through Landscapes – Nature Grant

St Joseph’s RC Primary school is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a Local School Nature Grant, thanks to players of the People’s Postcode Lottery. Our pupils will be benefitting from £500 worth of equipment, including seeds to plant vegetables, flowers and equipment to look after the vegetable patches in school. Other resources will be used to support outdoor learning and develop our nature area within the playground. In addition staff will receive training to help children learn outdoors. The children are excited about the resources selected. Joshua – aged 5, a member of our Green Team, said, “We are looking forward to playing outside. The plants will be important because our bees need the plants to help our world.” The project is run by Learning through Landscapes and funded by People’s Postcode Lottery, Postcode Neighbourhood Trust, Postcode Places Trust, Postcode Society Trust, Postcode Local Trust or Postcode Community Trust all of who which receives funding from players of People’s Postcode Lottery.
