A warm welcome from the Isle of Wight!
Welcome to the first of our blog posts from Little Canada where we arrived safely following our trip from school. As you’ll know, we set off bang on time for our road trip to the ferry, leaving many a tear shed behind us as we all began our journey.
The ferry trip was a breeze, with all of the children enjoying the views of the departing mainland, and becoming excited as their new home came into view in the distance! The team at PGL made the children and team welcome as they always do, settling the group into their accommodation where Miss Allen in particular has been proud of their approach both to the organisation of their rooms and the way they have been supporting each other – a great start to the week!
The children had their first experience of the catering on Little Canada and all had a good feed before enjoying a campfire by the beach where they have learned songs which will be a big part of their time at Little Canada. Following a long and eventful day, the children then hunkered down to get some rest before the first full day of activities.
Keep an eye out here for updates on the events each day as we go through the week!
